The papillion is a cute breed; it needs training, however, if it's to function in a household setting; kennels don't prepare the dog for the real world.
The major idea responsible breeders are dedicated to is the improvement of the breed. The dogs are tested for hereditary issues and temperament problems. The dogs mated should be of the standard appearance and temperament. It is vital that they are screened for possible genetic infections in the breed.
